
The following image is of the first fire truck owned by the Hillsdale Fire Protection District, a 1936 Chevrolet. The truck was housed at the home of Carroll Holly.

This is the second fire truck, a 1948 Chevrolet. The truck has since been painted red (from it's original white) and is owned by the Hillsdale American Legion. From left to right in the picture are Mrs. Richard Nelson, Ms. Florence Heeren, Ted Lockhart, Clifford Oney, Carroll Holly, Rodney Dillin, Bob Nicholson (seated in the truck), Buell Young, George Oliver and Bill Cain.

This picture of a house fire is of the "Chase mansion" on 1st Ave. North which burnt down in 1976. Hillsdale. The "Chase mansion" was a well known landmark prior to it's destruction and was a stage coach stop in it's early years.
